New Housing Starts on the rise!
New Housing Starts on the rise!

Work ramped up in at the very beginning of the year, and currently, activity is at a level that is the highest for U.S. single-family houses in over four years. Also, future projects climbed, and the stage is set construction to juice up the engine of economic growth in 2013.

Some stats: Work began on 613,000 single family homes at an annual rate last month, at an increase of eight tenths of one percent, up from 608,000.  Industry analysts are talking about the outlook for U.S. housing and the economy in glowing terms. Builders like Pulte and Lennar (both building tons of new developments in Jacksonville) are reporting rising orders, ironically, in the very same industry that was at the heart of the financial crisis. The experts are generally in agreement that the fact that single-family starts are up is very encouraging. It is more important to the economy in terms of employment and growth.
