OneSpark, Springing the Blues -- all promising signs of life for the resuscitating of
Downtown Jacksonville. So the timing finally seems right for something that’s been on the minds of ambitious developers for awhile -- redeveloping the iconic Barnett Bank Tower.
For the $30 million price tag, developers plan to retrofit the 18 story building, erected in 1926. At the time, it was the tallest building in
Downtown. With a combination of office space, classrooms, 80 apartments and two floors of retail, completion is planned for 2015.
