Your first stop is Community Loaves (1120 Edgewood Ave. S). This neighborhood favorite for locally made sourdough bread has been in business since 2012. Pick out a few loaves for your picnic foundation; personal favorites include the country white, rosemary garlic, and olive and thyme (this one is only available on Fridays). In addition to the scrumptious bread, you can also find an array of pastries to tempt you!

Join Springfield Preservation and Revitalization (SPAR) on June 23rd at 6 p.m. for a workshop on Maintaining Your Historic Home.

This historic preservation workshop, the third in their series, will be focusing on best practices for maintaining historic homes. A general contractor and architect versed in older homes and materials will be presenting during this workshop.

This community event will be held at the Wells Fargo Community Center, 1601 N Main St, 2nd Floor.

The workshop is free and refreshments will be provided.

Join Riverside Avondale Preservation at the new Riverside Avondale Community Garden on June 18th at 9 a.m. for a free composting class!

Mary Pucket with the Duval County IFAS Extension Office will be teaching all about composting. This program is free and open to the public.
