Without a doubt, people across the country know Ponte Vedra as a “Mecca” for the golfing world. It's an up-market tourist resort area best known for being the national headquarters of the Professional Golf Association (PGA). The famous Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass is host to the internationally known, highly televised Tournament Players Championship or "TPC." (The Ponte Vedra Inn and Club boasts a AAA "five diamond" resort rating). The pristine beaches are studded with everything from $1 million-plus Oceanside estates, to vacation rental condos and "stilt" homes right on the ocean. Relatively new to Ponte Vedra, a few miles inland, is the sprawling master planned development of Nocatee. It’s a collection of a dozen or more communities, designed to be especially family friendly. Neighborhoods in Nocatee, include the Enclave at Town Center, Greenleaf Village, Greenleaf Preserve, Kelly Pointe, Austin Park, Willowcove, Del Webb Ponte Vedra (an over 55 community), Coastal Oaks, Tidewater, Lakeside at Town Center, and Brookwood. Closer to the beach, older, independent enclaves tend to be on the upper end of the scale. These are communities like Plantation Oaks, Plantation at Ponte Vedra, Sawmill Lakes, Sawgrass Country Club, Harbour Island, Marsh Landing, Azalea Point. Most of these neighborhoods have their own golf course, with most residences taking the advantage of the stunning golf course views. Beach condos are all the rage for investors, with oceanview rentals that fetch upwards of $2000 per week in the height of the Summer season. These condos include Belleza, Summer House, Bermuda Bay, Sawgrass Beach Club, Ocean Grove, Ocean Grande, Portofino, Serenata Beach Club condos, The Carlyle, Ocean Links, The Fountains, and many many more.
