An Old San Jose Coach Home is a supersized condo with high-end finishes.
There are only five Coach Homes left at Old San Jose, on the St. Johns River at 5000 San Jose Boulevard, between San Marco and Lakewood. Coach Homes are condo flats that are as large as single family homes, at 1,985 to 2,100 square feet
Each Old San Jose
Coach Home occupies one-third of a three-unit building, but not in the way a townhome does.
Old San Jose is the upscale benchmark for the San Marco, San Jose condo and townhome market.

Old San Jose French Country Coach Homes
Back in the day, (way back), like in the 19th century, large country houses were erected on enormous country estates. It meant that the family had wealth, power, a lot of aunts uncles and cousins under one roof, and a huge budget for candles and coal. Then, farming took a hit with the industrial era. All that new fangled plumbing and electricity in the big city made these estates tougher to maintain, so they split them up. These separate flats within large houses were often referred to as "coach homes".
It’s 2013, and this style appears to be making sort of a comeback. At the new homes, upscale Old San Jose on the River, on San Jose Boulevard between San Marco and Lakewood, new coach home flats are practically as big as single family homes, like 1,985 to 2,100 square feet. Larger than your average new condo, for sure, but with all those lovely condo perks, like the pool, hot tub, and not having mow your 40-acre estate.

Old San Jose on the River Model Home
It’s been highly anticipated, and home buyers’ interests are increasingly drawn to the Old San Jose high-end townhome and single family home development on San Jose Boulevard, just south of the intersection of San Jose and University Boulevards in Lakewood.
Up to now, Old San Jose has been known for its high end townhomes that have been on the market only a short time, and received rave reviews, and more than a few interested buyers. This new single family home section broke ground about 6 months ago, and soon, homebuyers will be able to take a tour of one of the homes, scheduled for completion in late August.

It’s part of a one-two punch as they unveil their new site plan for single-family homes, which will allow for 26 single-family residences to be built and sold in the community, five of which will be waterfront home sites with private docks.
